Description
DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is an endogenous nonapeptide first isolated from cerebral venous blood. It has been characterized in preclinical research as a putative neuromodulator associated with sleep-related signaling, making it a useful tool compound for isolating neuroendocrine and sleep-regulation endpoints in experimental designs.
DSIP has been used in preclinical in vitro and rodent model studies to investigate sleep-related electrophysiology, stress-axis modulation, neuroendocrine hormone release, and oxidative stress responses. Its defined sequence supports mechanistic characterization of sleep and stress signaling in laboratory research.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
