Description
DSIP is an endogenous nine-residue peptide originally characterized in rabbit brain tissue. It is used as a model neuropeptide in studies of hypothalamic signaling and circadian rhythm regulation.
In cultured cells and laboratory animals, studies have examined cortical electrical activity patterns, pituitary hormone release pathways, antioxidant enzyme activity, and stress-hormone regulation. Its well-characterized sequence supports receptor-binding and peptide-stability experiments.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
