Description
Adamax is a synthetic analog of the ACTH(4-10)-derived heptapeptide Semax, carrying an adamantane modification on the peptide backbone. Researchers use it as a comparison compound alongside Semax in melanocortin-linked neuropeptide studies.
In cultured neuronal cells and rodent models, investigations of Semax-class peptides have focused on neurotrophic factor expression, melanocortin receptor signaling, and stress-response pathway mapping. The adamantane group makes it a useful probe for structure and stability comparisons within the series.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
