Description
DSIP is a naturally occurring nonapeptide (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood. Researchers use it as a reference peptide in neuroendocrine and circadian signaling research.
In rodent models and cultured cells, investigations have focused on electrophysiological rhythm patterns, hypothalamic and pituitary hormone signaling, oxidative-stress markers, and stress-axis regulation. Its short defined sequence makes it a clean probe for neuropeptide receptor studies.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
