Description
Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide derived from the pineal-gland extract epithalamin. Its minimal four-residue structure places it among the most compact peptides under active cellular-biology investigation.
Research has examined putative telomerase (TERT) modulation, telomere maintenance in dividing cell populations, pineal-related neuroendocrine signaling, oxidative-stress responses, and cell-cycle regulation. Its small size makes it a useful model for short-peptide bioregulation study.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
