Description

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring actin-binding protein. Researchers use it as a probe of cytoskeletal behavior and cell movement.

In cultured cells and laboratory animals, work has focused on vessel growth, fibroblast and endothelial motility, matrix turnover, and inflammatory signaling. Its actin-binding action supports study of repair-related pathways.
