Description
Adamax is a modified form of Semax, the heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment, with an adamantyl group attached to the sequence. It serves as a structural reference compound in studies of melanocortin-related neuropeptides.
In rodent models and neuronal cell cultures, work on the Semax family has centered on BDNF and nerve growth factor expression, melanocortin receptor interactions, and neuronal signaling under stress conditions. Its modified structure supports side-by-side stability research against the parent peptide.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
