Description
Epithalon is a four-amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from epithalamin, an extract of the pineal gland. It is grouped with the Khavinson-type short peptides used to model gene activity in cell culture.
In laboratory animals and cultured cell lines, studies have examined telomerase expression, chromatin and gene-expression regulation, melatonin synthesis pathways, and pineal cell signaling. Its minimal sequence supports clean comparisons across peptide-bioregulator experiments.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
