NuLumin PT-141

Description

PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide derived from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. In laboratory research it is used as a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist.

Preclinical literature describes investigations into melanocortin receptor activation, centrally mediated behavior, and second-messenger signaling, carried out using cell-based assays and animal studies. Its defined receptor engagement makes it a reference point for melanocortin work.
