Description
Glutathione is an endogenous tripeptide (gamma-glutamyl-cysteinyl-glycine) and a central component of cellular redox balance. It has been characterized in preclinical research as a primary intracellular antioxidant and cofactor, making it a widely used tool compound for isolating oxidative-stress and detoxification endpoints in experimental designs.
Glutathione has been used in preclinical in vitro and rodent model studies to investigate redox signaling, reactive oxygen species scavenging, phase II detoxification pathways, and mitochondrial function. Its established biochemistry supports a broad range of cell-based and rodent research applications in oxidative-stress biology.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
