Description
PE22-28 is a synthetic seven-amino acid peptide corresponding to residues 22 to 28 of spadin, a fragment released from the propeptide of sortilin (neurotensin receptor 3). It has been characterized in preclinical research as a selective TREK-1 potassium channel blocker, making it a useful tool compound for isolating channel-mediated neuronal signaling endpoints in experimental designs.
PE22-28 has been used in preclinical in vitro and rodent model studies to investigate TREK-1 channel inhibition, hippocampal neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, and rodent behavioral assay endpoints. Its shortened sequence and higher channel affinity relative to spadin support mechanistic characterization of two-pore potassium channel biology in cell-based and rodent research.
Intended use: In vitro and preclinical in vivo laboratory research only. Not approved for human or veterinary use.
